Have taken fluoxetine for depression for many years, propranolol for short-term anxiety relief, am about to be put on Paroxetine for anxiety. Also a long-term user of antibiotics such as erythromycin for acne. =P

I don't take any pills, except for birth control. I'm supposed to be on anti-depressants, but I don't want to take them. I feel like its just another drug. And to have one prescribed drug is the same as getting illegal drugs. I've been sober for months now, and I know that taking pills would become as addictive as the other drugs.

I'm supposed to be on anti-depressants because I have a chemical imbalance that runs in my family. I'm not one of these teenagers that runs around making a huge deal out of nothing and gets on anti-depressants when they don't really need them. (I'm not implying that you or your girlfriend do not need them, but a lot of people really don't.) Those people are the reason that I can't get anything that is actually going to help me. A study shows the pills I was on are no more effective than sugar pills. All they did was keep upping my dose when nothing was helping, so I got off them. I'm tired all the time, I get sick from it, and I'm either constantly angry or sad for reasons I don't even know. All the fucking time. And all because no one will give me the real drugs that I need.

Point being unless you're over 18 you might as well not even try for them because you'll probably get the same pills they hand to every teen and they're a joke.

I take quite alot of pills (hence posting anonymously):
1. 300 mg Lithium five times a day (mood-stabilizer)
2. 0.5 mg Clonazepam three times a day (anti-anxiety)
3. 10 mg Zyprexa once at night (anti-psychotic)
Its for bipolar disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. I also attend psychotherapy.
